The University Diabetes Outreach Project (UDOP) Annual Conference

UDOP will be hosting its 19th Annual International Diabetes Conference on March 21-24, 2013 at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort, Ocho Rios under the theme: “Diabetes and Oral Health”. This initiative aligns with the EHF’s strategic goal #6: Support for Science & Technology and associated research and development activities. As such, EHF will provide its usual support to this worthy project, through sponsoring a session and presenting scientific papers.

EHF’s Executive Chairman, Prof. the Hon. Henry Lowe and his will be presenting on their latest findings out of research into several Jamaican plants, which have been pointed out in the recently launched “Caribbean Herbs for Diabetes Management: Fact or Fiction”, authored by Dr. Lowe et al, as being potential anti-diabetes candidates.
