JET Coastal Clean Up Day
The EHF Team participating in the International Coastal Clean Up Day on September 20, 2014 at the Fort Rocky on the Palisadoes Strip in Kingston.
The Jamaica Environment Trust (JET) is National Coordinator of International Coastal Clean-up in Jamaica; corporate and individual volunteers are invited to assist with the clean-up island wide.
Each year in September, hundreds of thousands of volunteers comb lakes, rivers, and beaches around the world for litter. These volunteers are the driving force behind International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) Day. These dedicated volunteers collect data about sources and types of trash harming our oceans and waterways. The data is used to raise awareness, inspire recycling efforts and shape policy decisions from the local to international level. (JET)
