Project Close-Out Ceremony - EHF/USAID Climate Change Adaptation Project in Cedar Valley, St. Thomas
(L-R) Mr. Richard Kelly, Master of Ceremonies; Dr. the Hon. Henry Lowe - Executive Chirman EHF Group; Denise A. Herbo - Mission Director, USAID/Jamaica; Hon. Robert Pickersgill - Minister, Ministry of Water, Land, Energy and Climate Change
After a tedious and rewarding 3 years of work, the EHF/USAID Climate Change Adaptation Project has come to a close. It’s a bitter sweet moment for the team because while we celebrate the achievements of a project that has gotten international endorsement and recognition, we are sad that we have to leave the community of Cedar Valley in which a wonderful extended family has been established.
A Close-Out Ceremony was held at Eden Gardens Resort and Spa on January 23, 2014 to commemorate the achievements of the Climate Change Adaptation: Disaster Risk Reduction Management Project in Cedar Valley, St. Thomas. The team did an excellent job in planning and executing a programme that featured the project beneficiaries from Cedar Valley and representatives from RADA, PIOJ, USAID and the Ministry of Water, Land, Energy and Climate Change. Minister Robert Pickersgill brought the keynote address.
